Sirius?

For those of you that have purchased the OEM Sirius kit, can I use any antenna or do you have to use the Sigma interior antenna? I have tint and was wondering how the interior antenna would work.

Tint does not affect antenna signals.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

I know tint won't effect signals, especially since I have ceramic tint, but I am concerned if I have to adhere the antenna to the tint because if it were to be replaced it would ruin the tint. I would rather have a normal sat antenna.

I picked the kit up today and will have it installed tomorrow. The antenna is enormous, plastic and feels very cheap. The directions state to put it directly behind the dots matrix on the windshield. I would have thought this would cause major interference. It appears that I could install any Sirius antenna. Has anyone had any reception problems with this antenna?

I seem to be the only person interested in this thread. Anyway, I installed the kit today. Make sure to get the instructions printed out from the service dept. before attempting the install as it has some pretty specific instructions. The Sigma antenna while huge, isn't even noticeable at it's windshield mount location. It's located to the right side of the rear view mirror behind the dot matrix. This is the best antenna I've seen yet. It seems to hold onto the signal great even under overpasses. I will dearly miss the Tivo like qualities of my Stilleto in the car. I love how you can preview the channels with the Stilleto before changing channels, not to mention it's just easier in general to navigate with PNP units. The Toyo Sirius connect has limited features and not many presets. It has 18 presets. Presets are crucial without a plug and play unit because of the difficulty scrolling through the channels on a stock system. Sound quality is great and the engine noise is of course gone. Sound quality is much better than the PNP units.

Sorry Virus18 for not responding sooner to this thread. I am not familiar with the setup that you were talking about. I installed one of these units a few days ago and it works flawless. I installed the small antenna above the back window. Here is a link to the unit that I installed.http://http://www.tss-radio.com/toyo...ce-p-4043.html Glad to hear that you setup is working ok.
