Does it display the station/title/artist? Does it allow you to view a list what other channels have on without swapping channels? I have a delphi skyfi now and would miss the info that is like what it provides. Maybe if someone had pics of what it looks like I could see if its worth the $450 it costs to get it dealer installed.
Thanks.

10 characters total on the screen -- pure and simple. It's enough to see most of the channel and other info, but longer artist and song names are going to be cut off -- XM uses 16 characters, so you lose those last six characters.
I have the Terk system, not the Toyota OEM system, but I'm not aware that they are different in this area. And, I'm sure not aware that you can go wandering around to see what's on other channels. You can certainly toggle through the artist / title / channel / and so on information regarding the song you're currently hearing, though, by pushing the Text button repeatedly.
So, if XM display is really really really important to you, getting the Navigation system is something to consider very carefully --- you might rephrase your question to find out what exactly the Nav system will show you.
I had a 2004 Honda Accord with built-in XM radio with 16 characters, and now I've got the Camry non-nav display with 10 characters, and so far, I've managed pretty well without those last 6 characters. Yeah, I've seen some artist names that I didn't recognize without those last 6 characters, but I figure most of them out, no problem.
Oh, hang on -- I think I've got a picture online that should give you a decent idea -- check this out:
This is from a CD full of MP3 files, and shows 12 characters:
07 = 2 characters
space dash space = 3 more characters, total of 5
Jon = 3 more characters, total of 8
space = one more, total of 9
Mar = 3 more, total of 12
And no, nothing "scrolls" so you can see the beginning and then the end.
And, yes, the display is capable of 12 characters, but for some odd reason neither the Terk nor the Toyota system will use the first two character spots, so you get the remaining 10.
Hope this helps!
