Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hey everyone, sadly enough I might just be selling my Camry. I need some advice though to which route to go. I know i want to sell it privatley but not sure how i want to sell the car; with all the parts or without? The car momentarily has 67,500 miles on it. I'm hoping to get about 15k for it if i sell it with all the parts and include all the orginal parts. I have tons of extra stuff. 3 sets of wheels, 3 grilles, etc etc. Do you think 15 is asking to much evern with all that stuff? Give me some advice guys this is my first time going through all of this!
Personally, I would part out the car. If I ever sell mine, I'm going to part out the car for sure, and replace all of the original parts. Part of the reason is that a lot of people wouldn't want to buy a car thats "modified" because they get a bad impression of it.
But if I ever do sell mine, the grill is staying. Nobody is getting that baby...

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

Are you serious about attempting to get $15k for a '03 model with 68K on the odo? Reason I ask is Who would pay that asking price when you can get a brand new 2007 with V6 for $22k ??? I paid $22.6 for my 2007 V6Camry LE with alloy wheel as an only option.

Yea i kinda thought it was a bit pricey. The only reason i figured is because of all the extra stuff i was including. (Like all the mods and the OEM stuff and more) But its probably tough to sell a modded camry like mine anyways. I'll have to really think this one out i guess.
Hey fellow citizen of New York, bring her down here to the Big Apple Chop shop and we will give you 17K. lol. i think you have a dilemna or catch 22 on your hands. good time to look at the movie again too. (only joking jesting here). try to sell it whole, find out, seek out the private buyer. if the whip is pimping you can get the money.

Yeah, you would most likely be better off parting out. I doubt you will get any of the money you put into the car back from selling it. This is a little off topic but I saw on Cardomain that you had a chrome exhaust tip. Was it the OEM stainless steel exhaust tip? I'm interesting in buying it if you still have it around and want to sell it.

im not sure about the pricing in america... but i would part it out. modifications do not add value to the car..sell what you can and return it to stock. If you have univeral stuff you could keep that for the next car.
like whitechocolate said having the car modified would be a bad impression. Some teens might like it but i doubt they will buy a camry when they can buy a cool honda civic. i tend to stay away from "modified" cars because knowing that the owner likes cars and does stuff to the car ...who knows what he has done and making it look cool the engine probably has a bit more beating on it than a person with jus a normal econo car
