Never heard of this part? Thought the TSB was for the U-joint that connects the steering wheel shaft to the rack and pinion assy.

It is an intermediate shaft replacement.

The clockspring is under the steering wheel. It ensures a positive connection between the steering column wiring harness and whatever controls are on the steering wheel, stalks and especially the airbag igniter.

If you follow the TSB instructions on securing the steering wheel, there shouldn't be a problem.

still don't get it about the clockspring..it it so that the wheel don't turn on you and u have no idea how u turn and u try to turn it straight while the clockspring is in the other direction. its so that you don't fuck up the wires and rip them off?
