Gen6 Homelink Suddenly Stopped Working

This morning as I was leaving to go to work, I hit the Homelink button for my garage door like always and nothing happened. I thought that maybe something was blocking the sensor that tells the door that something is in the path, so I got out and checked that. I tried the button on the garage wall, and that worked. I figured there must have been something in the path, so I got back in the car and tried the Homelink button again......nothing. It worked last night when I got home, and I haven't done anything to the car since then.

Any ideas?

Maybe try programming it again. If that doesn't work, get it fixed under warranty.

If your dome lights are working, you have power to it.

Programming or something wrong with the mirror then.

It happened to me once... so I tried using the old garage door remote... even that didn't work... I tried reprogramming and nothing happened. I could open and close the garage with the button on the wall... but no remotes work. I was going to try again the next day... but when I pushed the homelink... the garage door opened. I don't know what happened. Maybe a frequency interfernece?? Try it again tonight or tomorrow. It took about 24hrs before mine started working again.

Do you live near any military installations? The band that garage door openers operate on belong to the military, however, the military has allowed companies to borrow (or lease) all or part of that band for garage door openers on the condition that the military has priority. This means that if there is some military operation near by that uses those frequencies at higher power, thus "drowning out" garage door remote signals, they must accept this interference.
