Thanks, guys. Yes, I have a TSX retrofit. Definitely do some searches. There have been long, extensive conversations on here between members with retrofits about HIDs and retrofits in general. Also, you should check out HIDPlanet.com and go to the forums. There is a plethora of information available there. I spent about 2 months doing research on a daily basis before I even started my retrofit.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
and while we're on that topic...i love your lights chocolate!!!
i might just buy the ready made projector style lights off ebay though and slap in the HIDs.
thats a big nono! those ebay projectors have horrible light output! and i believe someone had bought them and said the parts were flimsy and didnt fit.. and that it uses H7 bulbs or something which suck too

johnny, I agree with MrSo0h0o. LE05 bought those ebay projectors before, and he said that it was one of the worst purchases he ever made. The materials were garbage, fitment was off, and light output really sucked. HIDs alone won't increase light output. You can have crappy projectors with HIDs and still put out crappy light. On the other hand, good projectors with HIDs will have uncanny output.
I wouldn't waste my money on those. A retrofit really isn't all that difficult. Its just time-consuming. But if you have all the parts available, and if you just sit down and focus on just the retro for a couple of days, it can be done within like 3 days or so.

yeah definitely worth it! I'm finishing up on my retrofit using TSX's as well. Just got some aiming to do and it'll be all finished

Mercedes uses H7 and their light output and cut off is better than what I've seen in most modern cars (halogen based). I wouldn't say its the bulbs but more of the quality of the materials used (ie clean sharp quality lense vs. dull foggy cheaply made lenses).
I'd say the H1 as in the little fog bulbs or the regular ones used on some RSXs and WRXs? The little one IMO are similar to H3 and the larger ones are much better then the little ones.

thanks for the correction! like i said, i wasnt sure if it was H7 or not.. i was close! lol

I believe its the larger ones, but then... put together an H1 bulbs with a crappy projector with what is probably one of the worst projector lenses out there... and you get terrible quality light.
