ticking sound from front

My car is having this ticking sound for several months now. It is noticeable only when I press the gas pedal while driving. There is no such sound if the car is not moving. The sound is not noticeable when the engine is warmed up. I suspect it is from the transmission.

ticking sound from car when moving, goes away when warm? It isn't engine related, i'm guessing. I'd check the brakes, maybe the rotor or pads are worn; also check the cv joint boots and cv's themselves for wear or loose boot clamps hitting something (although generally speaking, worn cv's make a clicking noise that becomes louder when turning).

I was talking about the 2007 XLE V6. The sound is audible when I depress the gas pedal accelerating. But there is no such noise when the shift is in Park.
