Lightbulb My preferred choice!

I use the Collinite 476S Super Doublecoat wax. I hear the Liquid Insulator Wax 845 is easier to apply than the 476S, but doesn't last as long.

Here's a some pics of the excellent beading propertires of the 476S.

Another good source is the Consumer Report ratings of all the car paste/liquid waxes. Their "unbiased opinion" rates durability, shine, ease of application etc. Turtle Wax, a carnabu wax was their top pick, best overall.

after you wash, just make sure you use a clay bar for the first step.

I checked out their site. I will have to try some of that Z2 PRO. Sounds like good stuff, but seeing will be believing. Long term durability/protection is very important to me over appearance, as I don't have time to detail my car every month. That's why I like Collinite 476S, lasts a long time.

I was a huge Meguiars fan for years, but the first time I used Zaino that all changed! It is easy to put on and take off. For the first use, you have to strip the wax from your car (just use Dawn dishwashing detergent). You can, as suggested in a previous post, use a clay bar prior to adding the Z2 or Z5. Apply the Z2 or Z5, and leave it on for as long as possible. I usually wait at least an hour or so. Then finish it off with Z6 (very easy to use), and your car will look like it is still wet with a mirror like finish. I haven't used Zaino for more than a couple of months, so I can't attest to the durability compared to other waxes. However, if beading is any indication, you won't have to worry about that. After a slight shower, I can take my SE around the block and it is dry as a bone by the time I return to my driveway. The water will just slide right off.

Been using Zaino products for 8 years.

If you want the Z2 you must use the ZFX catalyst drops to get the full affect of the Z2 shine and durability or if I were you I'd go for the ZAIO instead of the ZFX.
No need to Dawn the car if you go with the ZAIO.
The ZAIO will clean and prep the paint for Z2 or ZCS or both with Z2 applied first..

I think a good start would be
ZAIO.
Z2 and/or ZCS.
Z6 detailer.

That will get you going.
You'll love the results and will then use the other products like the car wash etc..

The ZCS is a product you just spritz the panel, wipe on and walk away.
A 1/4 to 1/2 ounce does the whole car.
Can be used on black plastic and vinyl too.
A fantastic product that is said to last 6-9 months.
You'll put it on like I do after every other wash because it take 5 minutes to apply witb amazing results and it layers.

After the winter I go with ZAIO,followed by Z2 and ZCS.
Now I just wash and use Z6 and apply the ZCS once or twice a month.
You'll love the results.

+1 for Zaino. The best I've found but not cheap even it doesn't require a lot being appied.

You can also clay while you wash, using the car wash soap as a lubricant.
