Gen5 Camry CD Player Issue

Ok, when I insert the cd, usually it'll pull it in. But now, its starining, and the cd stays there. When I give it a little shove, it goes in with no problem. When I push the Eject button, it does as normal, then I hear this TERRIBLE clicking noise. Then, it keeps on trying to get it out, until it gets tired, and stops. Whats the deal? Does it need to be cleaned?

sounds like the little actuator, or motor that pushes the cd in and out is wearing out or is worn out on its last legs.

Not sure there is much you can do with the stereo installed. The way to do it is to remove the unit, then its covers. Operate the unit and see which part is not working. Yes, a lot of work but not sure what else to do.
