I was never aware of after-market sunroofs leaking 2 weeks into installation, nor was i aware that an after-market company would rip out a headliner and not replace it with something professionally looking.

Firstly, I didn't attack you. It's kinda like the dealer offering to give you a free set of tires and they turn out to be 14.95 bias ply gems made in Sri Lanka. You just need to attend to the fine print. I'll bet the dealer didn't start out planning to screw you. Hardly. You wanted a sun roof, he was trying to make a buck, so he calls a guy in the phone book and asks how cheaply he can do a minimal job. You knew it wasn't going to be a factory job, I hope, so it might have been helpful to talk to the guy doing the job, inquire about the plan, and perhaps pass on the project.
Now with all the water under the bridge, if it was me I'd get a tape measure out and see just how big the hole is and then get on the phone to someone else and see if anyone can repair the damage or replace it with something of better quality that might not leak as much. I don't think the dealer is going to do crap for you. The gripe is likely with the subcontractor. It will take a receipt for repair of the damage, presented to a judge in small claims court, to get satisfaction.
Do you think the #1 dealer in New England got that way because he lost money on deals?
