Gen6 TRD Lowering Springs - Install Cost?

I'm looking to drop my Gen 6 SE. I've found the TRD springs online for $199, which seems like a good deal. Just curious how much I should expect to pay for the installation and re-alignment? Would you recommend I have them installed at a Toyota dealership of find a reputable body shop in my area?

Thanks

This is the look I am going for... (from chitty's gallery)

thats a pretty low drop. that doesnt look like the drop of the TRD springs cuz i thought that the TRD springs drop it only for about 1.2" and 1.4" in the rear. looks good though. makes me want to drop mine already

Alright, well even if that picture isn't using the TRD springs, what should I expect to pay to have them installed?

It's going to vary from place to place most likely.

I'd just call around a few places and find the cheapest. It's not going to be much of a difference from going to Toyota or a different place, it's just that Toyota should be more expensive.

I'd say it'll range from $150-$200 with alignment as well.

I would recommend getting the installation done at your Toyota dealership just to avoid any warranty concerns. I believe they are supposed to be at 1.5 hours of labor per corner or a total of 6 hours. I know LOL! My dealership eneded up doing it for 4 hours total, after some negotiating. I paid just under $500 for the springs and installation. An alignment may be needed but is not absoulutely necessary for a drop like this.

BTW mine looks very similar with the stock wheels to the one pictured above. Those look like the TRD springs. Its lower than I thought it would be for sure.

Don't get the alignment done yet, it's best to wait until the springs are fully settled first. However, you may want to negotiate a price that includes this cost just so the shop doesn't gouge you later.
