XenonDepot 4000k Xtreme HID question...

Hey guys, I'm new here and am looking for some help for my soon to come 07 Camry.

So after much research, I've realized that XenonDepot is the spot to get some HIDs. My problem is cost, I realize right now that there is a sale going on and am interested in the 4000k Xtreme HID from them.

My question is how is the output and color of 4000k? I realize that the "standard" XD HID Conversion kit is 4300k so will the 300k make that much a different in terms of color? Living in SoCal, it probably wouldn't be smart to go up to 5000k or 6000k would it? Your opinions please as I'm somewhat lost on this. Thanks guys!

The difference between 4000K and 4300K is minimal. Besides, after about 150 hours of use, the bulbs will colorshift closer to 4800K-5000K through the duration of the bulb life.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

thanks for the quick reply. so in your opinion, if i choose to go with the xtreme hid kit, i should go with 4000k over 5000k? also, do you think i will experience significantly less quality by going with the xtreme over the "standard" hid conversion kit?

I would say to go for the 4000K over the 5000K because you will have greater light output with the 4000K. As the Kelvin temperature rises, the overall light output decreases.

As far as the "Xtreme" kit, I really am not sure... I couldn't tell you. The XenonDepot conversion kit is of top quality because they use Phillips brand ballasts and bulbs, which are some of the best on the market. I'm not sure what kind of ballasts and bulbs the Xtreme kit uses.
