2007 Camry Service Bulletins Warranteed?

2007 Camry Service Bulletins Warranteed? Have any of you had this done and covered by dealer? Because I definitely have sporadic problems with the tranmission getting stuck in gear and not shifting up. Like the RPM will just shoot up to 5,000+ RPM instead of shifting to next gear. Also when decelerating, the RPM will drop below 1000RPM even though im on highway going at 65mph.

Yes you're covered... EVEN THOUGH... When you bring it in for the TSBs they will tell you some garbage like, "If we cannot duplicate the issue, you need to pay labor."

Especially if you have a V6 and the Transmission Slipping Issue (cited as a "flare")... There's been a lot of issues with the V6 transmission and dealers nowadays are starting to call this characteristic "normal" and as such are blowing customers off on the issue.

To date, Toyota has only come out with one fix... Replacing the transaxle and once that's done you'll probably still have the SLIP... ooops I meant "flare."

Totally unacceptable if you ask me.

Dealer response to complaints appears varied (good to not-so-good). Rebuilding the trans may or may not solve the issue. One owner videotaped the problem, might do the same. If no satisfaction, might post some place like YouTube.

JayJ,
Hmm, my 07 Camry XLE V6 had the 3rd & 4th gear shift flare but I am not convinced that what you are describing is the same problem. My car would always shift but the tach would spike about 1000rpms before it did. Are you saying your rpms will flare up but it still won't shift? That may be something different.

By the way, we had our tranny and torque converter replaced last week and so far, no shift flare. It seems to be running very well. But, we still have less than 100 miles on the new tranny so I am going to keep my eyes on it.
