Is it my heavy foot or my vehicle is asking me more... I feel like when driving, my SE seems to want an extra push. I'm even affraid to give it some more gas. I come from driving a 4 cylinder so I guess I'm not used to such power. Any thoughts?
The V6 deffinetly has some power to it, and I have yet to give mine full throttle since I've never needed to, and I dont want to until the engine breaks in.
I dont really see what your saying though, do you mean that when your driving it seems like the car wants you to accelerate faster or something?
I don't have a V6 but I will answer anyway. That is all you probably. When you drive a V6, you can push on the accelerator a lot less and get the same acceleration that you'd get from an I4. You are feeling the extra power when you accelerate and you are having the urge to put your foot down the same as you did with your I4 because that is what you are used to. I say do it if you feel the urge. Why buy a V6 if you never attempt to use the extra power? Just don't be reckless and become a total hazard to everyone else on the road.

Always got something else in mind...
I'm not sure that I understand the question, but I drove I4's for many years and as the weight of the cars increased the performance suffered. I got a V6 this time and generally had to learn how to drive it all over again to the extent that if starting off from a red light, I give it enough gas to go. If you floor it, the car will unleash everything it has and you don't need it then. With the I4, you put it to the floor and keep it there.

I just went from a Scion xB to a Camry SE V6. I'm in the process of learning throttle control. A couple times now i've merged onto the freeway wondering why everyone's driving so slow to realize i'm going 85mph
geoff, the car seems like it wants me to accelerate faster. Then again I've never owned a V6. I'm happy with the power it provides though.
I stepped up from a '94 V6 Camry, so it wasnt as big of a deal, but I know what your saying now. I remember test driving the I4 Camry, and I had to put the pedal down alot further then I thought, but once I test drove the V6 I barely touched it and it went flying!
It's probably similar to what thepranksta said, since your used to an I4, your used to putting the pedal down alot further, but with your new V6 you barely have to touch it to get it moving, so you think that you should accelerate faster.

amen! i had the same experienced too. and i used to drive an '05 camry I4. so this is my first v6. i know wat u guys are saying.
Both the V6 and the I4 has a lot of power. The V6 obviously has more power. It's all about how you push the pedal. I went from a V8 to a V6... so obviously it feels like I need to push the pedal down more. It's really note that hard re-learning or learning. Just feel the road. It should all feel the same... it doesn't matter if you have the I4 or V6... it's a matter of how far you push the pedal. The feel of the road is the same. The only difference is when you want to gun it. That's where all the horse power comes into play.
The V6 definitely doesn't need "pushing" and "encouragement" like the I4 does. You can accelerate quite briskly with a light right foot. Besides...with all the police these days, where can you really stretch the engine's legs?
