Why isn't the XLE sliding armrest an option on the SE? Can it be purchased? It is such a convenient feature. My parents just purchased an XLE. I actually prefer the dash gauges in the XLE.

Look on Edmunds.com, Camry Hybrid forum. Use search engine. It is about $200.00 from the dealer.
I think that that's what makes the XLE what it is... ''the options'' that make 'em different from all the others and I just love mine, in a whole week I see a lot of camrys in the streets and I have to say that 95% of the time they're all CEs, LEs & SEs, very rarely I see an XLE or a hybrid model around here, and that makes me love my ride even more LOL.Well I guess everything is possible with money bro, if you want an sliding armrest then go ahead and make it happen!.....my 2 cents!

Considering the fact that my SE has a MSRP that is $5000 more than the base XLE I am going to have to disagree with you. I wouldn't mind having the sliding armrest. Maybe this is something I will look into. Has anyone on the boards tried this yet?

Ok now let me get myself clear on this one here, as far as i can remember i NEVER said that the msrp of the XLE or the hybrid were higher or lower than the rest of the models nor i'm trying to get people arguing over which model is better, all i said was that it comes with some ''OPTIONS'' that you may not get on any other model and that i'm the only one i know with an XLE around here but hey whatever floats your boat buddy and like i said.....i love my XLE and i'm assuming that you love your SE as much as i love my ride, i added 2 cents before and now i'm tossin' in 1 more so make that 3.......have a nice rest of the day bud!

I understand what you are saying. I would just like to see Toyota make it an option for Camry owners that prefer a 'sporty' ride.
If any dark charcoal leather XLE owners want to trade armrests let me know!

I hate this feature. It slides up and down toooooo easy and you can't lock it into place. Which is annoying when i have my arm on it and do a suddle break, the arm rest slide forwards...
