Gen5 new rims, you like? plus couple questions

finally got my baby's on

let me know what you think :-D
I know it needs a drop bad, I have the TRD springs in my room haha can't find someone to do it for cheap, cheapest I found was $200 think that's a bit much for a spring swap, any ideas?

by the way I had a question I'm guessing the rim+tire size is less than the stock 15'' with 65 tires, these are 18''s with 40 tires, but waht I noticed is gear changes instead of 3K when it used to be at about 3.4 3.5 K, so I'm guessing it revs at higher rpm to turn the smaller wheels, or are they actually bigger? Seems I'm gonna waste some gas compared to before reving higher al lthe time now haha
let me know if I'm wrong on this or not...
thanks!

You didn't give enough information. What about the tire width?
Was stock tire 205-65-15? And now you have 215-40-18?
You can go to tire.com click on tires then click on "tire calculation" After you put in the tire information it will tell you all the information.
By the way, the rims look good on your car.

Plug the numbers here and find out if you are close to stock diameter. speedometer and odometer will vary on how close you are to original spec.

nice one lunar mist, and they're 235/40/18 but ya diff. is -.6 in diameter and -1.89 in circumference
didn't count on it being so much but ya says 1.5mph difference from real so it's not too much but guess I was just used to the old way heh

btw lammy thanks! I was trying to match color a lil so it doesn't stand out too much but at the same time get a nice aftermarket effect plus performance wise I can feel the grip a bit better and steering wheel is tighter, enkei comes through I guess hehe
now I just need the springs back on, after a 1.2/1.4'' drop it'll be much nicer without that huge gap :-)

nice man, and believe me, you'll love the drop, just did mine recently.
mind you though, i went to boston a couple of times for business, and you guys got some BRUTAL roads, heavy potholes and cracks. I put on the eibachs prokit (aka TRD) and couldnt be happier, and we have our fair share of shitty roads as well.

dont wait, slam it!

the rims look nice and they look even nicer on the car. a drop would be good-loookin' indeed (ok when is it not. lol).

the rims+tires don't look small at all imo.

They look really nice. Perfect look. You'll still get a decent ride and much improved handling.

I think they would look better with a taller tire (aspect ratio of 45 all else being equal).

I have the TRD springs and love them. You'll really be happy after they get installed.

Oh yeah, paint your drums black.

I was looking for 235/45 tire but couldn't find anything decent, and the rim is only 7.5'' across so I didn't want to go wider to be able to put a taller tire on cause it would look more like a donut hehe, but happy either way, first time buy = sucess :-)
