rattling intake repair...no warranty?

hey guys, first posts. i've searched a bit and must not be searching for the right keywords. my 03 Camry is far out of warranty and the rattling intake is driving me nuts. i've read where others have repaired the problem with epoxy. is there documentation of this procedure? can't justify the cost of the stealership doing the work.

How many miles are on the car right now? If the dealership is telling you that this cannot be fixed under they might be bullshitting you. They told me this was covered under the 36K mile warranty but it is actually covered under the 60K mile warranty and possibly even the 70K mile warranty. Look in your warranty manual book. I forget what page it is but it is clearly listed under the 60K mile warranty section. I had this same problem and i called Toyota HQ and told them about it and they called the service manager at my Toyota dealership and they then fixed it for free. Give it a shot!

I have to agree with Frank20. Give Toyota corporate customer service a call at 1-800-331-4331 and discuss it with them.

Is this a TSB? or a recall?

Can someone provide the details to the actual TSB or recall notice?

I think my 02 camry xle has this rattle... but I am not sure...
