5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I LOVE the gen 5.5 SE V6 rims! I'd kill for a set. I did get a quote from a local dealer for 17" Solara rims (pretty much the same) and it was something like $400 EACH! Crazy.. I decided to just go with 16" rims and matching tires from TireRack once I manage to put some money aside for it. It'll be ~$950 shipped. My goal is to get some alloys and just slightly bigger tire size - I want to maintain the ride quality, so I don't want big rims or low profile tires.

^Solara wheels are the same. The SE wheels just have that "dirty" look going on with them. So if all else fails, you can get some Solara wheels and have them finished to look like the SE wheels. But why do all that for OEM wheels. If I see some, I'll let you know.

I liked that 'smoked' look of the gen 5.5 SE V6 rims. It's unique. I'd really like to get some stock rims but they're so expensive.. I'd have to find somebody locally who is upgrading their rims. Or.. I could just steal the rims off my aunt's Avalon. But her car would look really funny with 15" steelies ahahah.

15 inch wheels suck.....lol Too bad I might be stuck wit em for a while. Yeah, the smoke is unique. First time I saw a pair I have to admit that I thought the wheels were just dirty as fuck.

Ha ha yeah.. But if you keep it clean, that smoked look is fricken NICE. Ah well - I still my Camry regardless of what kind of rims it's got!

Yah, those are my rims (and my car)... I was trying to decide if I should upgrade to 18's or not. I can only do the upgrade if I get most of the new wheels paid for with the sale of these.
