I had this price recently and wasnt able to negotiate down any more than $200 bux. The only option is spoiler. I read i could negotiate on several fees listed..but they insisted it wasnt negotiable. " Theoretically" what should i be payin? Thanks in advance.

On the surface it seems to be a reasonable deal but what is 1% finance reserve? Are you trying to finance the car? Through the dealer? No, no, no. Show up at the store with your bank transfer information or if you must, a prearranged loan with your banking institution. Youshould find this car elsewhere for about $23,200.

"People who think they know it all are particularly irritating to those of us who do."
T.M.F. DLR 693.00 MSR
-This is "manufacture advertising" fee which I wasnt able to negotiate
2% HOLDBACK MSRP DLR $ 496.00
-This is "dealers profit" for the car
1% FINANCE RESERVE MSRP DLR $ 248.00
-Do not know what this is!
All in all I read people have paid less most the fees stated on this quote.
The only thing you should pay is the price of the car( as close to invoice as possible. I wouldnt give them more than $500 + invoice.) , destination fee (approx $620) and the normal tax and tag. PERIOD !
Dont pay any dealer prep, undercoating, proccessing fees, port fees.... Looks like they are taking you for a ride.
Yea, i thought something wasnt right. I walked out the dealership when they werent going to negotiate the fees. They also try tell me THEY OBLIGE BY THE RULES OF THE MANUFACTURE OR ELSE THEY WOULDNT GET ANYMORE... i didnt believe a word.
Here's a price I got on a stock SE V6 (includes floormats)...I'm in the SET region which is known for the additional $600 dealer fee...but I think it's a pretty good deal anyway...
Sale Price $22,720.00
Trade Allowance $0.00
Difference $22,720.00
Fees $589.00
Sub Total $23,309.00
Tax 7% Pasco $1,448.54
Tag Estimate $125.00
Lemon Law Etc $8.89
Total $24,891.43
I'm sure I could knock this down buy $200-$300 bucks, get a tint job or spoiler...
I asked for a quote on the following vehicle:
Base $24,815
Options $16
Manuf. Delv, Proc & Hndlg $675
Subtotal $25,506
Dealer Fees $589
Total $26,095
The 2007 Camry SE V6 that I ordered on Friday showed this:
2007 Camry SE V6, no options:
Invoice 23,525.59 MSRP 25,505.53 (According to there internal vehicle locator system)
Here is what I agreed to:
Car 22,971 (Added floor mats)
Dealer fee (SET required) 589 Total before TTT: 23560
Tag Transfer 125.00
Lemon Law 8.88
Hillsborough Tax 1463.60
Total, TTT: 25157.49 Out the Door
Southeast toyota (SET) has it own unique requirements (the $589-677 Fee), but my only other option was Fitzgerald or Carmax Toyota in Maryland. I had done my math, and found that MOST of Fitzgerald Toyota's online 'invoice' prices included an unaccounted for $508. I assume this is there regional marketing fee, plus they require a $99 processing fee. I added up what I would have spent with Fitzgerald, and had hte local dealer match it.
I'm not against dealers making a little $$$. It's there business, but I'm not gonna hand them a blank check either.
So, basically, I matched the Fitzgerald price, but saved the plane ticket, gas, and hotel. Overall, I came out great. According to KBB.com, my car was $40 UNDER invoice for a SET Camry. I have a build date of May 30, 2007, unless they can locate another!
