How to keep radio playing when shutdown engine

I have the push start option. One thing I don't like about this option is when you shutdown engine the radio will be turned off too. Does any one know if there is a way to not let this happen?

You could reqire to a constant hot (red). You should be able to find something in your dash to do so.

Just bear in mind that the reason it is done this way is to protect the electrical system from excessive amperage drain. Many a car has been left doa becasue of a dead battery traced back to a radio that was left on.

To activate the Accessory power in my parents 07 Prius you push the 'Start Engine' button once WITHOUT having your foot on the brake. If you hit it WITH your foot on the brake then the entire car will power on.

I imagine its similar in the Camry with the Smart Key but I can't confirm this.

As far as having the radio continue to play after shutting the car off, their radio will continue to play until a door is opened.

Here's what I do with my Lexus...

(1) Stop the car at whatever location you so desire, and keep your foot on the brakes
(2) Take the car out of Drive and put it into Neutral (N)
(3) Push the Power button
(4) The egine goes off and you're automatically set to ACC mode
(5) Now you can put it in Park (P) and still have your electronic stuff running

Your radio is not affect in this procedure since its the same as turning a convential key ignition from ON to ACC (while the car is not in Park of course). I find this is helpful for me when I'm on the phone and need to stop the car w/o cutting off my phone conversation.
