Gen6 I'm not a stereo guru, Need Line-Out Converter help, JBL

I have the JBL sound system with navi and was wondering where I should wire in my line-out converter to add my subs. Before or after the amp? Would I get a cleaner signal after the amp? I know cars, But stereos is one thing I am proficient at, but not a genius. Please help.

Line out converter attenuates a high level signal (amped) to line level (pre-amped level).

I assume that the sub will go in the trunk. Thus the easiest way would be to wire the LOC in parallel with the rear speakers.

Line converter after JBL amp, going into the aftermarket amp.
Make sure you have a good conection, many times the high level conections produce interference.

If possible it's best if you add it to before the amp, under the passanger seat. But before you add the Line output convertor a little research should be done.
1st- does your system have active equaliztion? Active equaliztion could be built into the radio. what it does is turn down the bass at higher volume. So at low volume the bass is way up, then when you turn up the volume it automatically turns down the bass. I will look into it and see if it is active or maybe somenone else knows. MTX has a good product to fix that. it's called the RE-Q
2nd- I don't know if you have a full range output coming off your radio. You probably do but double check to make sure. A lot of the new radios have speaker outputs that are crossed over so the bass is filtered out. if you tap your line output convertor to a crossed over output you won't get any bass. Good thing is you'll know it right away. bad thing is you'll have to search for a full range output. My guess is that the rear speakers are probably full range but just a guess.

Sorry to make it sound like a big deal to hook it up but I am just cautioning you on some of the possible pit falls.
