I have this scratch remover solution I used on my vehicle just recently. I guess I used too much of it and now there are residues left. I used a clean cloth to try to remove them but nothing happened. Any suggestions? Thanks.
scratch removers rub away mm's of ur clearcoat in order to diminish the appearance of scratches. u don't really need to worry abotu damaging ur vehicle unless u used a ton of it and rubbed over the same spot over and over and over again. which product did u use? did u try using a microfiber cloth? u might have more luck in the detailing section
lininator515, I believe I used too much of Pops-a-Dent Miracle Scratch Remover over the same spot. The scratches wouldn't go away so I had to repeat the process a couple of times. Microfiber cloth? Where can I get that? What does it do? Thanks.
You can also try using a car polish. Polish is nothing more than a very fine scratch remover. So you might be able to take out your swirl marks (or whatever "residue" your scratch remover left behind) but you must be similarly careful, don't use too much polish over and over again on the same spot.

i find microfiber clothes make things easier to wipe off residue than terry clothes. also, they are really soft and do not mar the paint on ur car. if you're wiping or drying your car with terry clothes or whatnot, you're just adding to the scratches and swirl marks. you can pick up cheap microfibers at stores like target and walmart, but there's no guarantee that those will be soft on your paint. quality clothes can be purchased online at autogeek.net and autopia.com also, if you do repeatedly use scratchremover/polish in the same area, be sure you wax that area to give it some extra protection from the environment. hope that helps.
