I'm looking at lowering my '02 Camry SE V6, just wanted some opinions on lower springs. I was thinking of going with Eibach springs. Would TRD be better or..? I'm thinking of doing a 2" drop all around.
I found a kick-ass bodykit that i'm going to get in the future. but the rear bumper only has a port for one exhaust. I'd like duals at some point. I have a 3.5" Magnaflow on it right now and would like another on the other side. Any ideas or even any bodykits that would suit my car and what i'm looking for?
I'm not trying to be an ass to you...but before everyone goes crazy on you. As a newb, you should put forth the effort to searching what you are looking for before posting a thread...that has been covered numerous times. If you put some effort, people will see, and the gurus/long time members will glady help. Learn to utilize the search tool, read the forums, then ask your question. That body kit has been out for some time....and eibach and trd are the same thing. there is nothing on the market that will give you 2 inch drop unless your lowering springs sag to two inches. Or you cut them, or you go coilover setup. Also if you have a 04 and up, you can use tein solara springs..which drop at least 2 inch before sagging or settling in.
yes that bodykit has been out for some time. actually it's in a big box in my garage. I've just gotta get the money to pay for the mounting and painting. Cuz i'm doin a custom paint job which won't be cheap.
I used to have those tail lights but I went back to stock. I had problems with little white bugs getting inside of them and I grew out of the altezza look. I sold them on ebay for about $15. I hope you don't have problems with bugs too.
Yeah, TRD is rebranded eibach. There is a difference between the Eibach Pro Kit and the TRD though. One drops more than the other, can't remember which one though.

The drop is not that much more. Its by what like .3 of difference, lol.
Every little bit counts. You can say the same thing about H-Techs and TRD. There's about a .3 or .4 inch difference but no one rides H-Tech around here (at least not yet).

Honestly...if you put them side by side for comparison, you would never be able to tell the difference. THere are more things that go into account when you purchase springs. Like buying from a reputable brand, how much the drop is, how the ride quality will be, if that spring has been known to sag, longevity of the spring as well. I'm not going against you, but i'm just saying that, there are factors that could make one spring sit lower. THey might have different spring rates. The dirver might have more audio equipment in his car to drop it more that the advertise number.
I agree that there is a lot of things to take into account when selecting springs but speaking from the perspective of the amount of drop: All I'm saying is that how much the drop is (no matter how it achieves it) obviously makes a difference and every little bit counts. I recall on a thread (correct me if I'm wrong) that you mentioned you wanted to drop your car a few more decimals of an inch. The S Techs from Tein are reputable and ride good from what you guys say. Why switch to a spring that drops a little lower? Your car shouldn't look too much more aggressive and you are going to bottom out more often.
