5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
of warranty (32,000 miles) I have been taking my car to the stealer for some rapairs.
i have some nasty clicking noises on the upper corner of both front doors.
i truly believe that the noises come from the rubber gaskets around the door and the door frame rubbing each other.
i think if the dealer just tilted the doors in a bit, then the rubber seals would be closer to each other and the clicking would go away.
the delaer just keeps on replacing parts related to the seat belt adjuster.
my question is:
if i reach 36,000 miles and the noises still there; do i have a case and toyota should keep paying for the repairs until the noises get fixed?
or will toyota tell me: you reached 36,000 so we dont cover it anymore. even though it was an existing problem.
also, this last time i took my car to the stealer, when i went to pick it up they told me that my front left hub cap was missing.
i'm like wtf, im sure it was there.
they were like, no it was missing.
so we talked for a while and they said the best they could do was to give me a used one. unfortunatelly the used one only has 5 spokes, mine had 9 spokes.
fyi: next time you take your car to the stealer make sure you give it a good check before you leave.
Well, I would suggest that you fix your car yourself. Apparently the "D"ealer can't make you happy. If I was still at the dealer I'd just run you off because of your attitude. They aren't there to take people's crap. They're there to fix and maintain cars.
It's almost like this thread wasn't really a question, but a rant on how you hate the dealer.
You seem to make yourself happy, so fix your car yourself.

The latter. If you had a drive train issue they might give it some att'n. (MIGHT). If you emailed them your post verbatim, they'd shine you on for sure. Do you have any friend with mechanical ability?

usually if the issue is documented before the warranty is up, they will still fix it in good faith as it wasn't fixed correctly in the warranty period.
Not sure but maybe it would be a good idea to call Toyota Corporate and document the issue with them. That way, if it still isn't fixed, you have a record of it.
