Gen6 Removing front Dome/Map light assembly

I was trying to change the bulbs in my front dome/map light w/moonroof, but for some reason, I was unable to do so. No matter what I try, I just can't seem to get it removed.

I was able to remove the door and rear map lights with no problem, but the front is a different story.

For those that have done it, was it easy for you? I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong, I'm following the instuctions from the camry repair manual.

Comes out hard.

Put two flat blades under the front and pry enough to get the front left corner pried up and then pull down on the corner and left side. It will pop out.
