USA Need Help on Rear Bumper

Hello Folks:

my wife while paking the car, ran it into my neighbors car. My 2005 Camry rear bumper needs to be replaced. my insurance is AIG here in New York City. I have some other damage on the side panels, but not that heavy, also need to replace rear left lamp, etc. my question is this: the auto collision shop has qouted me $2,520.00 to fix the car. $482.00 in parts, $1,033.00 in labor, $516.00 in paint labor, and $270.00 in paint supplies. my main concern is to get a real OEM toyota camry bumper. the estimate states: " replace bumper cover US Built...replace cover retainer outer US Built...etc.". the price for the bumper on the estimate is $235.82. do you think this will be a real bumper or the same bumper on the car just rebuilt? they will charge me $161.00 for the lamp assy US Built combo. what is the true price for an OEM bumper?

Sorry to hear about the accident!
I looked at the link http://www.toyotaoemparts.com/ and it said the rear bumper is $176.86
go to the website and look at it yourself to make sure it right.
Good luck man!

I think there are also some rear bumpers on ebay. (yeahhh ebay!!) Anyway, one day while I was taking my girlfriend home, I decided to drive a little more conservatively and drive at speed limit (usually go 5 to 10 above). And when I did that, I was rear ended by a chinese lady in a 95+ Corolla. I told my girlfriend to stay in the car cause she would have bitched the hell outta that lady.. Anyway, it turned out that my rear bumper had two holes indented into the bumper from the license plate screws. That was the only damage done, but the lady had ran off and I couldn't do anything except try to find her without endangering our own lives.

I want a new bumper now..

Oh and btw, how is AIG? I've been considering them for a while. I'm currently on 21st Century

My fellow toyota camry comrades:

thanks dudes for the feedback. you know, if this damage was less labor instensive, i could work it out myself, but the labor time is the real killer. the parts to fix the job is under $500.00. not bad and reasonable up here in NYC. the issue is always the labor charges which are way over $1,500, and the paint job, etc... i was lucky the frame is good, exhaust is good, wheels are good, just will need an alaignment. the bumper took the blow. this is just a simple bumper replacment and some other areas under there. anyway, i was quoted on the estimate $2,520.00. I just want to make sure they use real genunie toyota parts... that is my big concern because the car is a 2005 and the value is still there. mates, thanks for the replies.
