Exclamation Protecting Rims Against Curb Rash

Curb rash..... it happens to the best of us. Tires are starting to be built with rim protectors but most of them don't offer much protection. The Goodyear Eagle has an excellent rimguard but only if you're willing to go to that price range.

Is anyone aware of some type of rim protector that you can stick onto your tires or rims to cover the lip to protect it. If there isn't there should be. Hell if I was i business man/entrepreneur I'd start making them myself.

Easiest thing would be to get tires slightly wider then your rims. (ie. 235/40/18, instead of 215/40/18) This will give you some play when it comes to close parking at curbs. That, and get to know what your turning radius is, so that you don't hit the curb.

The easiest thing is to use your eyes ... look in your side mirror when parallel parking, you can see just how close to the curb you are, and therefore, you'll never hit a curb. None of my cars have those ***gy ass curb feelers or any other eyesore. My current tires on my 18's on the camry have absolutely no room for error! I showed my wife how to judge using the side mirrors, and she's still alive (LOL), so if she can do it, so can everyone else here!
