'04 Rattles - how to remove trim? - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

I've got an '04 XLE with two annoying rattles. One is coming from just above the clock. If I push up on the bezel, it stops.

The other is coming from the area of the assembly on the ceiling with the glasses case and reading lamps.

So, two questions:

1) Has anyone had any experience with either of these rattles?

2) Can someone please tell me how the (a) bezel surrounding the radio and clock and the (b) glasses case/reading lamps assembly are removed?

um for the clock part you get get a flat head and pray off the panel below it with the AC , heatering and the knobs (HVAC) its just held in by clips and for the piece around the radio you would just pull on it.its also held in by clips

I had the rattle coming from the readling lamps also. I just pulled it out so that it is hanging on by only one clip. I stuffed some foam up there too. The rattle then went away.
