octane rating for 1MZ-FE

is premium fuel recommended for the 1MZ-FE? because i was always under the impression that the 03 took 87?

I'm 99% sure that 87 is fine, even if high octane is recomended for top performance.

You can run 87, but I believe the figures that are shown on the engine specs was when it was using 91 octane.
