gen 5.5 headlight swirl marks?

Is anyone else having an issue with their headlights and swirl marks? My headlight looks pretty dirty and unclear due to the wind I guess....

I'm curious if its just me..and if not...has anyone tried polishing them to get rid of the swirl marks?

umm well mine's been a little unclear lately but it's been about 2 years for the car so it's a lil expected but I don't get any swirl marks or anything just seems normal aging, not sure apout polishing plastic since it's not covered by anything but itself if i'm right? so you'll just be taking some of it away making it thinner? not sure if thats advisable ofc it'd be a microlayer, dunno if the headlight is covered with anything

you can't accomplish much by polishing by hand...unless they are really light swirls marks. aging is due to the sun, how much you drive on the highway, how you wah your car and the equipment you use. the swirl marks seem to be more of a user error...meaning that when ou wash your heaights you're either A. using too much pressure B. washing in circles C. usuing dirty water and mits and drying towels or D. the combo of the three. You're best vbet is to get the plastic x and rub like you've never rub before...or get some chrome polish...and it should achieve the same results.

mine had minor swirling and oxidization as well....i used some eagle one never dull to remove the oxidization and plastic lighting repair kit from the local auto store to do the rest. good luck!

Yeah, my '05 is 2 years old now and the plastic lenses are starting to cloud. Plan to try a power ball and plastic polish to clean it up. Used to do the same when the clear section on my crotch rockets I used to ride started to cloud up.

mine are cloudy too, i think it's time to use plastic x again. after several applications i think it's from the inside of the headlight.
