Philips 4300k HID D2S Kit

does anyone know what exactly the difference is between this and the "conversion kit"...? it appears to be the same thing, ballasts, wiring harnesses, and bulbs...

Most conversion kits are halogen replacements with H11, 9006, etc, socket HID bulbs. If it has the D2S bulb, I would imagine it is intended for a D2S housing. Maybe for a retrofit? Does it say "DOT" on it? Not sure on that one.

Well the conversion kits use rebased bulbs (supposing you're talking about a quality one that uses OEM components).

D2S bulbs can only be used in HID projectors.
