Yes it does sound like a belt problem from your description - this could mean either the accesory belts, which you can see, or the timing belt, hidden behind the plastic covers.
Inspect them all for wear, glazing, cracks, and proper belt tension. With engine off, attempt to turn accesory pullies by hand - if you can do it, the belt may be tight enough but the belts worn.
DON'T use any belt dressing on them. This crap eats the rubber and if you use it, you will soon be changing the belt, guaranteed.
One way to isolate the noise. Spray some silicone spray on one of the suspect belts and try to get it to make the noise. When the squeak shuts up, change belt.
If the squeak still hasn't been found, remove the top timing belt cover and inspect your timing belt. If the noise is coming from in there, the water pump might be about to go; or maybe the water pump is leaking coolant on the belt to cause the squeak.
