Gen6 Looking for touch-up paint

A week or so ago a guy parked next to me and his door hit mine, so now theres a small white scuff mark (not paint), on the side. I checked out Auto Zone and Advance Auto Parts but never found Rec Barcelona (sp?) paint. I found some paint that looked similar, like Red Aztec or something, but I know from experience that even if it looks the same, when it gets on the car it looks alot different.

So since auto stores dont have it, is there a place online where you can order the touch-up paint?

Yeah there's a place to order paint but honestly for this osrt of thing it is much easier to go to the dealer. It's around 10 bucks. By the time you buy it on line and pay for shipping you could buy quarts of paint.

This happened to me too. Got tagged really hard and had to have a dent guy come out. Right where side moldings would have been. Have them now even though some people think they are ugly. Ugly is relative. BSM aren't as ugly as door dings.

trdparts4u.com is a good place to order online. Reasonable prices and reliable service.

It's actually a Toyota dealership (toyota of dallas I believe)

I'm going to buy it from TRDParts4U. It was only $6 + $2 S&H. Probably cheaper then my dealer anyways. Thanks again for the link!

Yep, Toyota of Dallas sells a lot on the internet and they are a big dealer in NW Dallas. Been there since Toyota started selling cars.

if its only a scuff and no paint is chipped off, then it should just buff out... or just sand down the scuff lightly and polish it

you only use touch up paint if ur paint is chipped or scratched off

I have to agree. Try a good clearcoat safe cleaner wax and some elbow grease and a terry cloth towel. You can try the old Meguiar's paste cleaner wax in the maroon can. It is available at most Wal-marts and Targets for around $6-$7. You will be surpriesed how well it works. Even with the right touch up paint it will never look perfect.

I always ordered touch-up paint from PAINTSCRATCH.com and the match has always been perfect. I already used them for my Desert Sand Mica 07 Camry.

I got a touch-up paint pen (with matching dealer paint code) off of ebay for around 10 bucks.

Thanks guys, it's time for me to get some touch-up paint since just getting a chip barely over the 18" 3M protection film

And the new touch-up paint is good because it comes with the standard brush AND a pen for precision touch-up.
Are you saying the touchup paint at trdparts4u.com is not good quality? I was going to get a can myself.

LOL Their paint is fine.

Repairing chips so that they are not noticeable is all about technique, patience, and having the right supplies.

This site has alot of good info on repairing chips. Someone recommended it on the TN Tacoma board.

This is Toyota of Dallas's web page, not to be confused with Bob's Touch Up Paint and Tanning Beds.
