Gen5 removing double sided tape advice?

tried to take a look for some threads but it's all really scattered can't really find anything concrete,
any advice you guys can give me for removing double sided 3m tape (with foam and clean no foam as well)
I want to take off my eyelids and trunk lip as well and paint them as I have a lil more info now think I can do a much better job but have a feeling taking it off cleanly will be a mess
What I'm thinking right now is probably leave the car in the sun for the whole day let it heat up and then also pull out a hair dryer and try to peal it off somehow, I was wondering if I can use something like wd40, I talked to someone previous to this about vinyl applications etc they mentioned it they use it to get rid of the glue residue, but wondering if this would damage the paint of the car

let me know on any insights and experience

ps. trd springs comming along well did the front two in 3 hours or so, was a pain just gathering the tools haha waiting to do the rear two tommorow probably as i ran out of time

when i pulled off two of my emblems, i used a plastic scraper and a product called Goo-Gone, it worked well, just took a lot of elbow grease and time.

wd40 will not damage your paint as long as you clean it right after.

i actually use wd40 to get rid of the bug and tar from my car and just rinse it off with running water afterwards.

nail polish remover works good too lol, just soak it and then scrub it off keep water nearby
use non-acetone based one test it on an area to make sure it doesn't mash up your paint

yeah, one of them is on headlights, i don't think I'll touch the sticky stuff there just do as much as I can to take them off and put them back on again I dont want to mess with the cover plastic, mainly think I'll need it for the trunk lip, as for the headlights i'll just replace it with new double sided tape after the paint

I followed another the advice of forum posts that recommended a blow dryer and dental floss. While sawing with each end of the dental floss and gently blow drying the area (requires some dexterity) the Camry badge came off within a minute or two of effort after about a minute of warming up the badge with the dryer.

For the vinyl dealer advertising stickers I didn't bother with the dental floss. The blow dryer and fingertips were enough. Light WD40 in a cloth for the cleanup of residual adhesive. Wipe the area clean after all the goo is gone.

Since temperature is key here, note that the temperature in my garage was about 75 degrees, but the surface temperature of the car might have been around 85 degrees from being outside earlier that day.

PB Blaster - like WD40 but more of a penetrant - will soak through the residue and separate it from your paint enabling you to run it off - and the PB Blaster can just be washed off with soapy water afterward.

dental floss wow that's inovative hehe, think that might work for the foam double sided tape under the trunk lip, that would be perfect i think because i have to get under 2 strips of tape, definately worth a try especialyl since i have it sitting on my desk hehe
