Anyone with the NEW TSB applied? Or anyone with a late May build that has no FlARE?
Anyone have the new TSB applied with the 07 CAMRY not the ES350 that has any luck without not having the flare issue? I just want this whole tranmission flare issue to be resolved. I have read up on clublexus.com and they indicate that it did not work for them, but I do not see a TSIB for the es350 out yet. I know the transmission is the same, but still, i am sure there has to be something different in software for the camry and es350. correct me if i am wrong!! Thanks all for listening.

5/29/2007 TSB TC007-07 done - Didn't Fix Flare Problem
7/18/2007 Transaxle and Torque Converter replaced
My car was built on may 9th, I haven't noticed any transmission issues over the 150 miles I've driven it since Friday
I didn't have any problem for the first 1200 miles, then the 3rd-4th slip (flare) suddenly happened one morning as I pulled away from home.
I hope you continue to have no problems.

Same thing with mine, I didnt have a flare for the first 1000 miles, then sometime between then and 1500 miles I noticed a flare-up, only a few hundred RPM's though.
I just got back from having the TSB TC007-07 re-flash of the TCU in my 2007 Camry SE V6.
(for reference, my build date and VIN info are in my signature at the bottom of this page)
This is the first remedial step I've done with this transaxle, and I'm still on my original transaxle that came new with the car.
I STRESS THAT this report IS VERY, VERY PRELIMINARY BECAUSE I HAVEN'T YET HAD A CHANCE TO DO A TEST UNDER COMPLETE COLD SOAK CONDITIONS.
(I WILL DO THAT TONIGHT AND REPORT)
I did the approximately 15 minute drive from my Toyota dealer, and I didn't notice any slips (flares) at all.
The once after each engine start 3rd-4th shift slip (flare) I used to get, didn't happen this time.
I'LL REPORT BACK WITH MORE after I've taken the car out tonight after allowing it to cool off completely.

my 01/07 built camry with 63xx miles hasnt experience any flares so far. and i did notice that most people that had experienced the flare already are from the east coast side.

Just to add, that I just got back from doing the first cold start test of the TSB TC007-07 re-flash.
It didn't slip (flare) at all that I noticed.
So far so good.

Sorry, but it did not fix mine. I had mine done in Dec. and on my way back from lunch today, it flared twice.

hi midnight,
the TSB was not issued until May, it could not have been done in dec. this is with the new TSB... regarding the reflash of the cpu. there is a NEW TSB out that recently came out may 17th. please make sure you had that TSB done. and this is refering to the v6 engine. thanks. let me know if this is the case. thanks for your info.

Same here, our Camry V6 was built around 01/07 (At least that's when it was on the lot). Have around 500ish miles right now, no flare.
PS: I personally think that location shouldn't play a role in this issue. Most of the Camrys come from either Japan or KY. It's not like the West Coasters are getting their Camrys from Japan while the East Coasters are getting theirs from KY (Or vice versa). Though....i'm also on the West Coast
