I have 40,000 on my car..2004 Camry LE.

I have 42K on my 2005 camry. will be needing the brake pad change soon too. looks like your budget may be getting high with all those items. stick to the basic for now. as was mentioned. check the serpentine belt, how is your coolant? and PVC? do the tranny drain and refill, replace brake pads, coolant. that should be all you need at 42k miles. if you have the loot then go for the best brand brakes that you can find without having to replace the rotors, like for ceramics, etc..

Just go with OEM pads. I never use anything but OEM components when my brakes are done because it just creates trouble later on like squaking or additional brake dust, or god knows what else.
Furthermore, unless you go with a real performance big-brake system from Brembo, you will not see any improvement in braking distance.

hmm they suggested a tranny oil flush ? even tho it says on the dipstick you do not need to do it ...weird .. im actually going now to buy some ATF from toyota to do our Gen5.
I would replace the brake pads with factory pads. I would also flush the transmission fluid. As far as the power steering and brake fluid goes, it depends. There is very little failure related to not performing those services. In otherwords, it's not a bid deal at all. If it does not hurt you financially to do it then go ahead. If you don't do it, that's perfectly fine too. Don't lose a wink of sleep, it's not a big deal.
The Type T IV fluid doesn't seem to be nearly as bulletproof as Toyota seems to think it is. I've seen many vehicles with burned fluid with similar miles as yours.
Replace brakes, Flush Trans. Brake flush and P/S flush are not needed.
How much would the brakes cost me?
