Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Got my V6 XLE on friday. Drove about 150 miles since then. It's definately out of alignment, pulls to the right. I have to have the steering wheel turned about 5-10 degrees to the left in order to compensate. Anyone else have this on a new '07?

I had the same problem on my le v6.I bought it like 3 months and noticed the car pulled alot to the right. Also,my the car was heavily vibrating on the highway and felt so loose and sloppy. It felt like as if I had a hard time keeping it in center and stable.
After taking it to the dealer he found the rear allighnment was out of place. The vibration was due to the wheels being out of balance. They fixed both problems at no charge. However,I was mad at the fact that I was having such problems on a brand new car. They shouldn't be there in the first place.
If they check the alignment and it still does it, rotate your tires, radial pull is also possible. Gosh these 2007's seem to be problematic.
So I went to the dealership service department. They said it was radial pull and rotated the tires. I think it still pulls to the right, though I need to give it some more time to make sure I'm not just imagining it.
When I was at the service department, I got a little angry at the service rep that signed me in because he told me they didn't have the man power to do an alignment right then, and that I'd have to drop the car off. I was mad because I had setup an appointment for that specific service. I assumed that if you are able to setup an appointment for service, then the dealership should be able to do that service at the appointed time.
Annnnyways, I'll give it some more time and see if I can't tell whether it's really still pulling or just my imagination.
I hear you about that dealership "service". I like to run every single "mechanical suspicion" through my trusty mechanic friend. All of our family vehicles have gone to him for like 10 years.
He always checks out the problem first (test-drive, inspection, etc) and recommends me what's wrong. No charge too unless I want him to do some work.
The problem with dealerships is that:
1) They always try to reproduce the problem although it might only sometimes happen. If they don't reproduce, they do NOT take your word for it, and tell you they see nothing wrong. Or that it's within tolerable specifications.
2) They just follow strict procedures instead of actually searching for the cause of the problem.
So once I have background info from my mechanic, I basically TELL my dealer what is up, what's causing, and what will fix it.
