Adding the VIP security system

I'm currently interested in adding the VIP security system from Toyota. Is it difficult to install?

Also, is this website legit (Genuine parts? Good prices?)

http://www.satoyotaparts.com/ME-CEGI.aspx

Does anyone here have any experience with the body side molding (protection) and or rear bumper applique? I'm also interested in these add ons.

Bumper Applique is so-so, probably not wiorth the month for a piece of clear vinyl.

I think BSM is fugly and makes the Camry look like a Corolla.

Compfreak,
I have Viper Alarm installed by a local stereo shop and they got the remote key fob to work with the Viper Alarm.

1. I'd think that any competent aftermarket alarm system would be both cheaper and better than the Toyota VIP system. By all means, go to your favorite car stereo shop and see what they can do, before settling for the VIP system.

2. Body side moldings might protect one or two percent of your car's sides. However, they will uglify your car one hundred percent of the time.

3. The rear bumper applique has a far greater chance of protecting your paint from scratches and such as you load and unload your trunk. And it won't uglify your car like the body side moldings will!

The BSM looks is so and so. Not sure it protects much. Maybe if they made the BSM more sporty, it would be better.

My Camry came with the bumper applique and the dealer charged me $30 for it. I wouldn't pay for it if the dealer didn't already applied it.

I had the VIP 3200+ with GBS. It's an okay alarm but orignally I wanted an aftermarket alarm but I was told that it doesn't integate well with the Toyota system.
