Help: Removing the SRS door plastic cover

I'm trying to install the auto-dimming mirror on my '07 Camry LE.

However, I'm having troubling removing the driver door pillar plastic covering with the SRS symbol on it.

Any help or guidance is apprecated.

slip your fingers underneath and pull ?

look at the diagrams in the manuals posted in the general camry forum for our year
it shows the kind of clips that are holding it in place
i am pretty sure you can just slip your fingers underneath and tug it out
dont use a screw driver unless its covered with tape.. it will damage the plastic

It's called the A pillar garnish. just my 2 cents...

BIG NOTE....it does not come off, just pries off 1/2 - 1 inch or so, it is so that airbag does not make that thing hit you in the eye !!!

The instruction (from Southeast Toyota) mentions something like this:

(1) Pull top of A-pillar trim out

(2) Rotate A-pillar trim retainer 90 degress and disenage from A-pillar trim.

(can't seem to be able to locate the retainer)

next step.. (never got to step 3)
(3) Pull base of A-pillar trim out towards rear of vehicle to remove.
