2004 xle window squeal

I am 1 month away from an expired 3 yr warranty, so time is running out. When the car gets wet, such as parking in the rain, the driver front window squeals going up and down. No other window is affected by moisture. After 24 hours of drying, there is no noise until the next rain.The dealer said they spray silicone in the window tracks, but that seems like a temporary fix to me, and I don't want to get stuck after the warranty expires. They act like it is common, and doesn't indicate a defect. I say too much moisture is getting in, and some defect exists, or all 4 windows would do the same. Anyone out there have this problem, or has tried the spray?

Mine does it, it's just the rubber that the window runs between..it's kind of annoying at times but nothing major..in my case anyway..

I had a problem with my 19k mi 2005 LE that may be somewhat related. My window sqeaked when in the full up position when going over rough surfaces. The dealer put silicone lube material in the window seal and it didn't do a thing. I talked to a detailer and he recommeded some automotive window cleaner and Mcquires (sp?) auto vinyl cleaner. I used the window cleaner all around the car but especially along the driver's window edge. I noticed some fused material that seemed to be from the sealing rubber and it was tough to get off. Then I cleaned the window seals with the Mcquires vinyl cleaner and the window is perfectly quiet.

I always keep the car washed and clean, as other cars I have owned in the past and never had to go to this level of detail cleaning to keep the window quiet. However, I am glad to have found a solution, and it may work for your sqeaky window track.
