Gen6 Trailer hitch

What should I look for in a good trailer hitch for my Camry?

Any particular brand or models I should look at? What difference does a 2" or 1-1/4" receiver make?

How do they install on the car? Is it necessary to weld them or do they just bolt on?

Go to a website like etrailer.com to see what classes of hitch are available for this car. The larger receiver (and hitch frame) will allow for a heavier trailer and tong weight. The hitch should bolt up to existing holes in the cars frame (normally a simple job).

Find a hitch the sits high enough that it does not ride on curbs when you go in/out of driveways. This would be one where the hitch goes above the muffler tail pipe.

What are you trying to tow, cause if it's alot of weight, I'd find a trailer hitch that has a Tundra connected to it!

I'm fairly certain my Camry is capable of moving my bike.

I have a 1-1/4" receiver hitch on my gen 6 camry. i'll take pics and model number tonight. Pretty easy to install - only thing to remove and not use was the oem tiedown on each side of the car..
i use the hitch for my bicycle rack.

How about a Trailer hitch advertised on Ebay for $ 111 bucks??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CURT-...spagenameZWD1V

It's a 3,500 lbs hitch...wondering what type of bed trailer to attach to...not too many to look at on Ebay.
