Gen6 Bluetooth Phonebook - Extensions

I'm trying to add a bunch of phone numbers to the built-in phonebook feature for the JBL Bluetooth system. Does anyone know how to add an extension to a phone number?

I am trying to have it:
1. Dial the phone number, i.e. 555-555-5555
2. Pause for a couple of seconds while it rings and is answered by the automated system
3. Dial the extension for the person I am trying to call, i.e. x2222

Has anyone been able to do this before?

Don't see any provisions for programming pauses into the head unit.

If your Blackberry won't transfer the pauses and extention to the head unit, you will have to use the phone's contact memory to dial the number and then use the wireless connection.

USA Retarded Phone

I hate the Bluetooth JBL the phone is retarded it does not understand your voice commands and takes you to the wrong function. I have tried to do several things that you need to be able to do IE ext XXXX I can not get it to work. I cant change the ring tone that gripes my ass I hate bells. And the command for setting up other functions is limited and very dificult to make it work. I am not sure this is a 2008 system seems more like some outdated junk analog phone system.

I have a call in to some C++ programer guys who seem real savy about phones and such. I ask them if we or they could reprogram the Bluetooth system in our cars and make it do some tricks. It is crap right now It is just a simple phone with no real good features. The ringer is even lame and old a bell come on gimme a break. I will post any updates I get on the software. Any one who gets this please if you know a programer I think this is C++ but Java may be what makes it tick. Well CISCO is C++ and JAVA yes???? or is JAVA Sun Systems

Java is Sun. With Cisco, it depends on the appliance. At the core, it is Cisco IOS which is an open language. There are instances of Java, Linux and C++ (among many others).

You won't really find a lot of other systems that are much different, so I'm not sure what the expectation was. A judgement on such systems should be done based on the call quality/voice quality and background noise cancelling...not the features. It's primary function is to provide a hands free means to use your mobile phone so you can keep your hands on the wheel. It does that just fine.
