Weight Distribution Issue

SO i just thought of something... I had to take the crap outta my trunk in order for the camry not to scrape over the slightest bump in the road since ive put the springs on, but I didnt even think about what I am going to do once I start working on the audio.. wont the sub box weigh down the backend just as much...??

Hmm I may have to figure this one out, any suggestions...

Before anyone asks there was 4 or 5 boxes of crap back there before and I couldnt even go over railroad tracks doing 40 without scraping... I may have to just nix the audio setup..

Can you go with small tires like 225-30-19 ?

thats the link to the thread I posted pics in

I dont know if it was rubbing but it sound like scraping... basically when I went over deep bumps or rivets in the road it would make that scraping noise.. I was thinking maybe my wheel was touching top of wheel well but Im not sure.. it cant be my exhaust or anything cause the drop was conservative and I havent touched that yet... Cant I bore out my wheel wells some?

Sorry Ive never had to deal with this issue before cause ive always had a truck so forgive me if I make no sense....lol

it could just be that you have big tires for a dropped camry ...

isnt the stock size 215/60-16?

you might have to bump the wheels down a bit if you want the 2" drop or whatever

I'd have to agree with Venom - sounds like the 245's might be rubbing against your fenders. Have you taken a wheel off and looked up in the fender? Whats your wheel offset?

TRD springs only drops 1.4" in the rear. You might want to consider rolling your fenders.

Could it be an offset problem? I have 20's on my Camry and have no rubbing issues with the Eibach springs?

yes they are eibachs, thought about rolling my fenders wasnt sure what that does exactly (like I said im new to modding world on imports)

I believe my offset is 35+, epsilon would also know since he helped me with my sizes.. the overall diameter of the tire didnt change from stock, so maybe when I hit the bumps combined with the 1.4 drop it touches the fender a bit...

basically to shrink your fenders youre gonna end up hitting them with a bat rolled in a cloth

of course there are cleaner ways to do this, but you dont want to roll ur fenders

can you take a picture of one wheel well so we can see the space? i still think the tires are just too big for the drop ... but idk

you want the wheel on or off? I can take pics tonight closer up from the side but if you want the wheel off it might take me sometime.. since ill have to pull out a jack and what not...

I will take closer side profile view tonight...

I mean without the trunk weighed down too bad I only rub in ODD places (where road drops down dramatically or whatnot) but only when I dont see it and I dont slow down and it's not too bad so if anything I may just have to watch where I drive if you say to not roll the fenders..

hmm baseball bat with cloth...I dont think my wife will think im sane if I just start beating away...lmao

try to hit bumps on an angle so the car rocks while going over bumps instead of straight up and down.

There's actually a fender rolling tool to prevent paint chippings and whatnot.

Watchcrazy, what's your offset? It also might be tire width too since you're running 225's to his 245's.
