UK Bluetooth integration frustrations

This is more of a rant, I don't expect anyone can do anything

The voice recognition in the Camry drives me insane! I live in the US, and own a US Camry, but I have an English accent - as a result half of my voice dialers get confused, usually at highway speeds when there is a bunch of background noise.

The most frustrating one? "Beth Mobile" gets registered as "Go Back"! But only when I'm on the highway

This won't help out your overall situation, but you could set the "Beth Mobile" phone number as a speed dial. Then all you would have to do is hit the 'phone off-hook' button on the steering wheel and then hit the correct speed dial number on the JBL head unit (the 1-6 buttons). You could then avoid the need to say "Beth Mobile" everytime you want to call that number.

Figured that one out very quickly I had a hell of a time setting the system up until I figured out that I could do it all from the tuner dial and ignore the voice prompts altogether.

I'm guessing I just need to re-program it to be "Beth cellphone" or something a little more unique and distinctive - I have this same problem if I have to call T Mobile to pay my cell phone - when they want me to say "all of it" to pay the full amount, without fail the system hears "eight dollars and fifty cents"

Mine has trouble understanding me too. I do not have a weak voice. Very clear and loud. (Losing my hearing does that) Annoying. I just use the phone to scroll down to the number and let it dial from there....<sigh>

That's exactly what i did a little over a year ago to avoid all that, hit the off-hook switch then hit speed dial #1 for the wifey and then off-hook switch again to dial and BAM! done baby...
