5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Right now I feel like a boy in a candy store. My XtremeHID 4300K kit came in from XenonDepot. My Camry is actually at the dealer today for various rattling items, but tomorrow the installation will begin. I'm going to work with my mechanic from the morning. Hopefully by the evening, we'll make this thing work. The installation will include the proper covering of the squirrel spotters with aluminum and JB Weld (I already bought this stuff).
I'll then post a review of the installation process with pics. Thanks again to LNGasMan for his bumper removal tutorial - it's going to be the back-bone of my operation.
To all those who will comment on how OEM is still better, and how the Phillips XenonDepot kit is better, you can all go milk a cow. At $225 a piece, this kit satisfies my standards.

Congrat on your HID kit!!!
I have a little tip for you, as you take off your front bumper off. Pay attention to the black foam that support the middle grille. Take a good look how that thing sit before you take down the front bumper. It took me a while to figure out where the foam supposed to go when I was ready to put the bumper back. Good luck.

Thank you for the heads-up. That info has been noted. But what exactly do you mean by middle grille? You mean the opening between the headlights under the Toyota logo?

It actually located under the grille. It just a template of foam sitting under the grille.

A complete review will follow in several days. I hope to achieve a perfect cutoff line. I'll be playing around with the cold weld stuff. I won't piece the lights back together until I see a perfect line. Defintely don't want to blind anybody. These cars obviously don't come with self-leveling headlights, so the least I can do is maintain a good cutoff.
Luckily I live in a condo building so I have an underground garage with perfect walls for cutoff testing.
Stay tuned! For anybody in my area (Toronto) looking for future help, feel free to contact me via private message.

Did you do the squirrel spotter mod, or did you just drop in the bulbs? If you're in the Bloor/Spadina area, lemme see!
