Free body kit mod for 07 Camry SE

I bought my wife an 07 SE camry v6 and I love the car. The only complaint I had was how far out the rear body kit stuck out past the rear tire. So today I was peeking around under the car and found out I could easily remedy this problem by removing a spacer and installing one screw.

First here is the problem I had look how far out the kit sticks out.

So if you take this little thing out (2 10mm nuts and 1 10mm bolt) you can push the body kit in a couple inches. Then just use a stainless screw through the very bottom of the body kit to hold it in it's new location.

After you are done this is how it looks

Now road debris from the tire will chew up that rear skirt.

Same thing I was thinking.... I would rather do wider wheels.... but it is his wifey's ride.... Might curb the kit if it sticks out that far.... LOL

Wow that looks pretty clean. It's nice that it doesn't really cost anything. Nice work.

But what is the point of that? Having the skirt stick out doesn't endanger anything...

It is the wifes car and I am not going to put nice wheels on it cause she uses the park by feel method. There is no real advantage or gain to doing this. I just think it looks stupid with the rear skirt sticking out like it does from the factory. I am not trying to tell anybody what to do to their car I was just trying to share what I had found incase anyone else wanted to do the same.
