I think only "FlexFuel" engine-equipped cars will run on that. Well, that's not to say that the Camry won't. But long-term effects are likely negative.

Vehicles designated E85 compatable have different seals in them - they withstand the acidic deposits that E85 generates during combustion. Basically it will eat the rubber, aluminum and magnesium in your engine - slowly. Don't do it man! I do use 10% ethanol blend when driving in the upper midwest.

Anyway, it makes no economic sense to use E85 in your car.
When you do the energy calculations of E85 vs gasoline, when gasoline is for example $3.00 per gallon, E85 would have to cost about $2.20 a gallon to break even.
How often do you see that large of a price break between the two at the pump?
Also, your cruising range per tankfull will be reduced.

By the way, tests have been done that showed the ethanol has about a 27% decrease in MPG.

An email to Toyota should probably be generated to answer this question. You certainly don't want to be the first one to try it and then discover it ate the seals out and Toyota refuses to warranty their replacement.

I don't think your vehicle can handle it.

Check with Toyota Customer Service Center first.

Just curious, let us know what you find out also.
