Gen5 Bad Brakes or Unbalanced?

hello all
i have a 02 toyota camry le with 50k miles on it and recently when ive been driving on the highway at high speeds (70 mph) and suddenly jam or ease on the brakes my steering wheel starts to wobble like crazy in a left and right motion. ive also noticed that to fully stop, i have to press the brake pedal down all the way till the pedal almost touchest the carpet. Can this problem be of bad brakes or just unbalaced tires?
if its bad brakes can anyone tell me how much a set of 4 brembo brake pads cost because i want to put some high performance long lasting pads in
thanks!

You're brake rotors are warped, that's why it shakes. The rotors need to be resurfaced or replaced.

Try spraying some glass cleaner on the belt when you start the car. Soak the belt good. If the noise goes away temporarily it's the belt. If not something else is making noise and needs to be investigated.

What TRD said - rotors are like $21 at kragen. If they're that bad i dont think i'd bother trying to get them cut.
The bad rotors could be a factor in your pedal going too far. I have seen this occur on cars i fixed where the pedal felt wrong and went too far, and changing the rotors fixed it.
Also you may have sticky calipers too (if the pads on one side or worn a lot more than the other, the lower pad side might need a caliper). If the pads are worn evenly and you havent been losing a lot of fluid (some slight drop in level is normal as the pads wear but not much) then the caliperss are probably ok at this mileage.
For sure check your brake linings they are probably getting thin as well.

Also the brakes probably need to be bled. If you have rear drum brakes (i dont think you do on your model -not sure though), the rear shoes could need changing, and/or your self adjusters may be stuck and need cleaning and lubing.
