apparently all headlight housings aren't created equal.... HELP!

so i've decided to make a separate thread so that i could start afresh and get advice from some of y'all. upon purchase of my xenondepot xtreme hid's, i started an extensive search on what to do and how to install them. installation went fine, but i needed to do something about the squirrel spotters. initially, they were pushed down like many other people had done. this helped quite a bit. however, the concept of using an aluminum can and some jb weld to completely seal the squirrel spotter AND push down the flap was the new rage so i went ahead and did that as well (helped considerably as well).

HOWEVER, like the title says, there are apparently two (maybe more?) different housings made from the 07 camry....

most of your housings (as can be seen by numerous pictures throughout the forum) look like so...

BUT MY housing looks different...

as you can see, ON TOP of the flap, i still have some weird slit/gap which indeed causes some glare and does NOT create the clean cutoff line.

that being said, in order to not get the attention of pigs on the street, i've pointed my projectors downward for the time being.

SO...........

ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA ON HOW TO FIX THIS?

btw, if you live in orange county, ca or in the diamond bar area and can fix this, please contact me as i would be willing to pay a small nominal fee (though kicking back a 6 pack of the brew of your choice would be better in my opinon)

It looks like they are the same, but on yours the flap isnt as high up as the rest, maybe a flaw?

Are you able to lift the flap upwards, or is to to secure to do that?

If you redo them, just JB weld the metal up to cover that gap.
My flaps was like yours and if I just covered the spotters the
light would get through that gap. Its a pain that you have to
do it again, by the way I put metal on the front side of cutoff
sheild (other side from flap)Good luck............

that's what i plan to do... since putting another piece of aluminum with jb weld will seem a bit of a challenge, i think i'll just coat the gap with some jb weld as it doesnt seem like it would drip or slip. i figure to use a skewer to apply it in small amounts and just get an xacto knife if i use too much and it goes over the original cutoff line.
