^Depending on the manufacturer, 10k HID might appear to have a strong purplish tint. Either way, I'd say that it is a terrible idea. Very dim and great cop attention catching abilities. You're basically going to jail for blinding yourself.
Glare is going to be crazy because I don't see any talk of a retrofit. A HID kit in those reflector housings is going to be hell on other driver's with dangerous hot spots.

Oh wow, if thapranksta is right, 10K in reflector housings would be very dangerous. Let me know when you're on the road if you ever come to WA state - I'll have to avoid being in front of you so I dont get blinded by glare.

i usually am not an ass about stuff, but please, RETURN THAT HID KIT. as many other ppl will tell you, HID in a non-projector housing throws light everywhere but on the road, mainly in other ppl's eyes blinding them. secondly, RETURN THAT HID KIT!! lol
Heh, Let the guy post his pics first and then offer your thoughts
4300K HID's produce the largest amount of light, a bright white in color temperature.
6000K's should produce a purple hue but offer less light output than 4300K
Anything above that is going to be blue in color and not offer much light output or road visibility. I saw a 4Runner running around with them installed and they looked completely useless. Too dim to see 3 feet in front of him. But the glare as many mentioned is still visible, especially to oncoming traffic. I've been blinded by enough gen 5/5.5's to know, and those only had the stock halogens in place.
